Infra Red cameras: The wiser choice price-wise

When CCTV security systems were earlier associated with celebrity homes, they have now become a common home security option for people everywhere. From the extremely expensive high end security systems to the budget-priced ones to fit the commoners’ pocket, CCTV systems are now available in all forms and ranges.

However, when it comes to the ideal price-utility combination Infra Red cameras are the most sought after now. The IR security cameras produce very Good Quality images even in very low light conditions. They capture images in colour during day light and switch to the black and white mode as light wanes. However, the quality of the images is exceptional irrespective of whether it is daytime or dark, with the only difference being the shift from colour to black and white mode.

Now with the wintry chill persisting even through summer when electricity bills and gas bills are rising, the last thing one would want is an additional set of appliances in the form of security system that can use up electricity. In spite of using illumination through the night to capture the images even in dark and hazy environment, IR cameras use up less than a quarter of the energy required by the normal bulbs as they use LED bulbs to generate the illumination.

Also, if the concern is that the light from the camera would be a give away to the intruders, there is absolutely no reason to worry as the IR light falls in a frequency much lower than that of visible light and will not be visible to the human eye.

Given the utility and the price range that they are available in now, IR security cameras is definitely a very good bet when it comes to round-the-clock home surveillance. At SecurityCAM, we have some great deals on home security equipments that make new-age security system fit everyone’s pocket.
